ExxonMobil Design Engineer
Due to confidentially and proprietary concerns, I cannot disclose details of my work with ExxonMobil. In general terms, I have managed and led engineering scope for interconnecting piping, utilities, and flare on an international project estimated at $3 billion. There is deep technical component, but also an understanding of external impacts. For example, when oil prices fell from $100 to $40 a barrel, the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Return on Investment (ROI) calculations slipped below predetermined hurdle rates. As a result, our team challenged and reworked many aspects of the design to find cost savings.
